Dianne Fetzer has a degree in Early Childhood Education and also received her Bachelors of Arts degree in English at the University of California Sonoma. She received her Juris Doctorate with Distinction from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Dianne was admitted to the California State Court and Federal Courts in 1997. In 2003, she was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of the United States of America. Dianne also received her Certificate of Specialization for the California Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of California in 2003.
Dianne M. Fetzer is in private practice in Sacramento County with a satellite office in Napa County where she resides. She practices primarily in Sacramento County, but also accepts cases in Placer, El Dorado, Napa, Solano, Sonoma, and other surrounding Counties. Dianne devotes her practice to not only complex property issues, but also child custody issues, including move away cases and high conflict custody cases (one that directly affected a U.S. Supreme Court Decision); her practice includes all aspects of family law. She also devotes part of her practice to minor children that she represents on a pro bono basis; she is appointed as minor’s counsel in family law cases through the Sacramento County Superior Courts.
Dianne has been active in a number of community and professional organizations. She is currently a member of the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists and the active President, past Legislative Director and past-Sacramento Chapter Director for ACFLS. She is also currently an Advisor to the Family Law Executive Committee for the State Bar of California. She is also on the Sacramento County Judiciary Review Committee. She has been a panelist and presenter for CEB and Minor Counsel seminars. She has also been a panelist and presenter for University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
Dianne served as the Chair of the Sacramento County Regional Committee to the State Bar Family Law Executive Committee for a two year period. She served as the Legislative Chair and Vice Legislative Chair on the Family Law Executive Committee to the State Bar, as well as several years as the Secretary for the State Bar Family Law Executive Committee. Dianne is a member of the Family Law Sections of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of California, and the Sacramento County Bar Associations, as well as a member of National Association of Counsel for Children.
She is also a member in the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and the National Association of Counsel for Children. Dianne is currently the Secretary for the ACFLS Charitable Foundation. In addition, Dianne has acted in various capacities as a volunteer for non-profit community groups as their Chapter Representative, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Committee Chairperson, and team member of community organizations.
